At Scrubbington's we pride ourselves in putting only the good stuff into our products. Made in the UK and as kind to your skin as they are to the planet, all of our products are minimum 98% natural, gluten free, suitable for vegans, and of course, never tested on animals.
Here's a list of everything that goes into our products...
Aloe Barbadensis
It is the extract of the wonderful Aloe Vera plant. With its gentle soothing and moisturising properties and it is a botanical wonder ingredient Found in: Bubble Bath, Deodorant, Bug Off
Aqua
It's water of course, even your younger brother knew that! Found in: 3 in 1 Hand & Face Foam, Bubble Bath, deodorant, Bug Off
Benzalkonium Chloride
The active ingredient in Bug Off, more can be found out here
Benzyl Alcohol
Benzyl alcohol is produced by many plants. It is used as an ingredient in perfumery and also as a preservative to prevent nasty bacteria from forming. Found in: Bubble Bath, 3 in 1, Hand and Face Foam, Deodorant
Cetrimonium Bromide
Effective antiseptic agent against bacteria, often used in baby products. Found in Bug Off
Citric Acid
Citric acid is a very weak acid found in most fruits and vegetables. It is used to balance the pH (you can find out more about this in science lessons if you're not too busy blowing stuff up!) Found in: Hand & Face Foam, Bubble Bath, deodorant
Citronellol
This is a naturally occurring ingredient found in essential oils and is part of our gorgeous fragrance. Found in: Bubble Bath, 3 in 1, Hand and Face Wash, Bug Off
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
This ingredient is derived from a coconut and helps to make our Bubble Bath extra foamy (much softer on your head than a coconut landing on it!). Found in: Bubble Bath
Coco-Glucoside
A non-ionic foaming agent that is derived from coconut oil and fruit sugars. It is completely natural and contains no sulphates. Found in: Bug Off
Dehydroacetic Acid
This keeps our products fresh and bacteria free. Found in: Hand & Face Foam, Bubble Bath
Disodium EDTA
Used to improve the foaming and cleaning performance. Found in: Bug Off
Didecyldimonium Chloride
An emulsifier often found in hair conditioners. Helps to ensure the products provide the same level of performance use after use. Found in: Bug Off
Eugenol
It is part of our wonderful fragrance and is derived from clove oil (cloves are put in everything at Christmas by Grandmas). It also has natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Found in: Deodorant and Bug Off
Geraniol
Contained within our fragrance and interestingly, it is both an insect repellent yet also used by honey bees to mark their scent. Found in: Deodorant and Bug Off
Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton)
This is oil from the seeds of cotton which makes our products extra soft. Found in: Bubble Bath
Glycerin
Derived from vegetables, it attracts water and thus keeps young skin moisturised. So you won't look all dry and shrivelled like one of those raisins that keep popping up down the back of the car seat. Found in: Bubble Bath
Hydroxyethylcellulose
This helps to thicken. It is made from cellulose, contained within wood (of the tree variety). Found in: Deodorant
Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride
A conditioning agent derived from Guar Gum (not chewing gum!) Found in: 3 in 1
Inulin
This is an excellent moisturiser. Found in 3 in 1
Linalool
Found in over 200 species of plant it has a light floral fragrance. Found in: Bubble Bath, 3 in 1, Hand and Face Foam, Deodorant, Bug Off
Panthenol
Is derived from Vitamin B5 and used as a moisturiser. Found in: 3 in 1 and Bug Off
Parfum
Our lovely fresh fragrance of freshly cut grass.
Polysorbate-20
It is an emulsifier that helps oil and water mix because they usually get along about as well as you do with your sibling(s) on a long car journey. Found in: 3 in 1, Bubble Bath, Deodorant
Saccharomyces Ferment
A product from yeast (also used to bake bread and brew beer - not the ginger variety though) that breaks down ammonia (the pongy part of sweat). Found in: Deodorant
Sodium Benzoate
It is a preservative. A salt produced from benzoic acid which naturally occurs in a number of yummy (and not so yummy) fruits and spices. Found in: Bubble bath
Sodium Chloride
The same as table salt; safe for people (unless too much is put on your chips!) Found in: Bubble Bath
Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate
This creates our lovely foam but it is more natural and much milder than sodium laureth sulphate found in most soaps. It's also bio-degradable which is good for our planet where we all live. Found in: Bubble Bath, 3 in 1, Hand & Face Foam
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate
This is also made from coconuts and gives our foam a bit of a boost. Found in: 3 in 1
Sorbitol
It helps keeps everything nice and moist but a bit less than a super soaker. Found in: Deodorant
